I'm passionate about the science behind behaviour, habit development, and learning, and in giving everyone I encounter a reason to smile. In my 25 years in the dog industry, I earned my BSc in Animal Science from the University of Alberta in 2005, acquired my certification as a Canine Training and Behaviour Specialist from the Triple Crown Dog Academy, and successfully coached multiple dog/handler teams to high score in trials in Competitive Obedience, Rally Obedience, IGP Obedience, and Obedience in the Police K9 Nationals.

As a current member of Inferno Canine and the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada, I'm active in competing with my own dog at the regional and national levels in the sport of IGP. Competitive work has taught me to how to motivate your dog to stay working with you reliably without the constant dependency of training tools or rewards - a skill that I'm excited to share with all of my students.

I've also had the privilege of working with hundreds of wonderful pet owners like you! In the time I've been doing this, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that there are no two dog/handler teams or families that have the same lifestyle. So instead of creating a one size fits all program, I'm excited to help teach you how to integrate obedience seamlessly into your day-to-day routines to make life with your dog easy and stress free.
